Gabby Douglas, 2012 Olympic women’s gymnastics all-around champion. She is the first black gymnast in Olympic history to medal in the individual all-around, and the first woman of color to win the gold.
……………..Wait, why does race matter? She’s a Gold Medalist. Not a “Black Gold Medalist.” Jesus people.
Most people who hope for racial equality think it’s neat when a person of color gets to do an awesome thing that previously only white people had gotten to do.
