Why do we slash? For many of us, in large part, we like slash because it’s transgressive. Deviance is a large part of the reason most kinksters are into their kink. And gay male relationships are, culturally, more transgressive than straight relationships of any ethnicity. I feel pretty comfortable saying anyone who quotes or posts that bullshit David McCullough “you are not special” speech is someone you don’t need in your life ever. They’re dull, and they’re a crank, and they probably have poor taste in music.
For real, though, basically all anyone from David McCullough’s generation should be saying to a room full of millennials is “gee, I’m real sorry we totally fucked you guys over. My bad. Our bad.”
