I feel pretty comfortable saying anyone who quotes or posts that bullshit David McCullough “you are not special” speech is someone you don’t need in your life ever. They’re dull, and they’re a crank, and they probably have poor taste in music. 

For real, though, basically all anyone from David McCullough’s generation should be saying to a room full of millennials is “gee, I’m real sorry we totally fucked you guys over. My bad. Our bad.” 

This also goes for that Bill Gates “some schools have eliminated grades; this doesn’t resemble the real world” bullshit. TURNS OUT THE REAL WORLD ACTUALLY DOESN’T GIVE YOU GRADES, BILL GATES, YOU LIED TO ME. No but yeah for real tired of old folks’ “real talk.”

So very cosigned. I have no desire to interact with anyone who can look at the world and conclude that what’s really a big problem is that young people think they’re worth something.
